Jerry and Karen Thatcher established our company in 1992. Over the years, we have certified over 12,000 Energy Star homes. These projects have been featured in national builders magazines, the Chicago Sun Times, and various news paper articles.
Energy Diagnostics has received national awards including EPA's Energy Star outstanding achievement award for the past 9 years consecutively and the highest national raters award from RESNET in 2009.
Energy Diagnostics has a professional staff of certified HERS raters, BPI certified field supervisors, NAHB Green Building certified verifiers, and in house engineering.
Our goal is to improve the housing stock to greatly reduce energy consumption while reducing pollutants protecting the environment for future generations. Last year alone the Energy Star Homes program reduced greenhouse gas emissions equivalent to those from 18 million cars and saved $9 billion in energy costs. We are very excited to be a part of the green initiative because the NAHB has accomplished designing a program that is functional and user friendly for all.
